The Carp Catch Up Discussion Panel is an opportunity for ASL delegates to find out the latest on one of the hottest ecological topics in Australia today: the use of koi herpesvirus (KHV) as biocontrol for carp. We will speak with some of the leading experts in the country including Matthew Barwick (FRDC), Ken McColl (CSIRO) and Joe Pera (Water NSW). You will have opportunities to ask questions and and join the discussion. Grab your lunch and head into the main room.
ASL proudly presents the second annual Indigenous Water Knowledge and Cultural Flows Symposium. Following on from the success of last year’s event at Ballarat, ASL is committed to increasing the capacity for traditional ecological knowledge at our conference. The Symposium acknowledges the role of Indigenous people in water management and their connection to waterscapes, as well as the land. The presentations will reveal the steps Indigenous peoples are taking to manage their water resources and look at opportunities for a shared approach. This session will include local and international Indigenous speakers.

Pizza and band night at the loft on Tuesday, a relaxed ASL gathering with food, beer and wine. Time to get all the ASL musically talented people on stage. We will have some ASL member bands playing, ie. the Little Regulated River Band, and you're welcome to take over the stage or join in with the band to sing or play some songs. Microphones, guitars, basses and drums will all be there. Contact Simon if you have any song requests and he will make sure the band knows it: simon.mitrovic@uts.edu.au.
